Bonners Piano Centre – Installation of Gas-Fired Warm Air Heating System
Project Overview
Enright Environmental was appointed by Bonners Piano Centre to deliver a complete heating solution as part of the fit-out works for their new retail store in Kingston Park. The project required a reliable, efficient heating system that could be seamlessly integrated within the store’s ceiling design while providing consistent comfort for customers and staff.
Working to a tight programme in line with the store opening, Enright Environmental provided a full turnkey solution, covering design, supply, installation, and commissioning.
Scope of Works
The project comprised the supply and installation of a complete warm air heating system, including one gas-fired Powrmatic warm air heater, associated gas pipework, full electrical installation, 7-day time and temperature controls for efficient operation, ductwork installed above the ceiling grid, ceiling diffusers for even heat distribution, and return air grilles within the ceiling grid.
All elements were carefully coordinated to suit the building layout and aesthetic requirements of the retail space.
Design & Coordination
A key element of this project was ensuring the heating system worked effectively within the constraints of the suspended ceiling layout while remaining sympathetic to the way the building is used. Enright Environmental undertook detailed design coordination to achieve optimal positioning of the heater and ductwork, efficient airflow distribution throughout the sales floor, discreet integration of diffusers and return grilles within the ceiling grid, and full compliance with relevant gas and electrical regulations.
Particular attention was also given to keeping the system noise levels low, as this was an important consideration in a music retail environment where pianos are regularly played and demonstrated. Close collaboration with other trades on site ensured a smooth installation process with minimal disruption to the programme. In addition to the main heating installation, we also fitted a small air conditioning system in the upstairs studio where lessons take place, helping to provide a comfortable environment for both tutors and students.
Installation
Our experienced engineers carried out the installation works efficiently and safely, ensuring all systems were installed to the highest standards.
The gas pipework was installed and pressure tested in accordance with current regulations, while the electrical installation provided reliable power and control to the system. The ductwork was installed above the suspended ceiling grid, maintaining a clean and professional finish within the retail environment.
Controls & Commissioning
The system was fitted with 7-day time and temperature controls, allowing Bonners Music to manage heating schedules in line with store opening hours, improving energy efficiency and operational control.
Following installation, the system was fully commissioned by our engineers to ensure optimal performance of the warm air heater, balanced airflow through the ductwork and diffusers, and correct operation of all controls and safety systems.

Enright Environmental successfully delivered a high-quality, fully integrated heating solution in line with the client’s programme for the store opening.
