Washington Components are an experienced company of 40 years and they have partnered with customers in many different industrial sectors and markets. They manufacture components and fabrications for BP, Shell, Chevron, Total, Aramco and many other Global organisations with specific needs and robust specification.


They have a modern array of CNC Turning & Milling machines and can manufacture components from a full range of materials including Inc.625, Super Duplex and Titanium. They have a fully coded and experienced welding team utilising modern welding equipment to manufacture exactly what you require. Their onsite responsible welding co-ordinator is qualified to CSWIP 3.2 Level 3 and will ensure all welding is controlled to conform to the exact demands of your specification. Washington Components are ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 3834 approved.

Project Background: The building premises had 4No. existing warm air unit heaters in a factory environment, 2No. of which have reached the end of their service life and are to be replaced for new heaters, plus 1 No. additional heater is to be installed in the fabrication area of the factory.

Project Solution: From our survey of the building, we decided that the best option would be to install 2No. Winterwarm XR (60kW) warm air unit heaters in the factory area and 1 Winterwarm XR (30kW) in the fabrication area, this would provide adequate heat to these areas. The heaters that we installed in the factory area were flued vertically through the existing roof penetrations, however a horizontal termination through the side wall was more appropriate for the newly located heater in the fabrication area. Whilst the gas supply pipework was already in situ for the 2No. Winterwarm XR (60kW) warm air unit heaters in the factory area, careful consideration was needed to establish a suitable route for the pipework for the fabrication area heater to ensure no hindrance to fork lift activities. The appropriately sized mild steel gas pipe was extended from the existing gas line, fixed at high level adjacent to the main steelwork of the building into the independent fabrication room also avoiding local crane activities.

Project Result: The 2No. heaters which had reached the end of their life and had been condemned were safely isolated and removed and the 3No. new Winterwarm warm air unit heaters were successfully installed. The new heaters are controlled by their own individual Winterwarm MultiTherm controllers, which are a very user friendly and easy to use controller, they allow the user to set up time and temperature control so you can fully customise when the heating goes on and off, but also exactly what temperature you want the environment to reach and maintain. Washington Components now benefits from an effective and energy efficient warm air heating solution.

All work was performed as scheduled and completed on time. The installation team from Enright Environmental worked autonomously, safely and were always present to answer our questions. The process of working with Enright Environmental was straight forward. We are happy with our improved heating system and would recommend Enright Environmental to others.
