An exciting career opportunity has arisen at Enright Environmental and we are looking for an experienced or postgraduate Designer/Estimator to join our team and work with both our existing and future client base.
Enright Environmental is a family-run HVAC business based in the North East that provides heating, ventilation, mechanical services and cooling solutions to businesses and commercial properties across the region.
With over 50 years of experience, we provide cost-effective and bespoke systems for our clients that prioritise their unique requirements and energy efficiency.
We supply, install, and maintain a range of solutions including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, evaporative cooling, hot and cold water services and pipework.
Our team is gas-safe registered and we work in accordance with industry regulations in order to provide excellent customer care and build lasting relationships with our clients.

The Role
You will play a key role in the company’s operations by developing and overseeing the design and estimation process for all our commercial HVAC projects.
Therefore, you will be required to liaise with clients, conduct site surveys, and assess the requirements of each project we take on board. To meet the needs of our clients you must be able to generate accurate quotes that align with specific budgets and utilise your existing experience to aid with the development of this department.
The key responsibilities for this role are as follows but are not limited to the list provided.
- Conducting thorough and accurate site surveys to assess project requirements and gather essential information.
- Working closely with clients, understanding their HVAC and building engineering services needs, and offering expert advice and solutions.
- Identifying the materials, equipment, and labour required for each project, and ensuring accurate estimates are given.
- Generating competitive quotes that meet client expectations and budget.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment.
- Working closely with our team of engineers to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to execution.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, pricing, and technology advancements to provide innovative solutions.
We would be happy to consider implementing software and systems that the candidate may already be familiar with and we are open to developing the design and estimation processes within the company.
Essential requirements
- Proven experience in HVAC design and estimation for commercial projects.
- Proven experience in the building engineering services industry.
- Proficiency in utilising estimation software and digital tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, materials and equipment.
- Demonstrates the ability to accurately cost a project from start to finish.
